Meet Lisa Imerman. "Include your kids in the process. My kids help in the kitchen and love to help cook. They also go to the farms where we get our food and they see how it is grown or raised and it really does make a difference to them. We try to teach them about what we do and why so that they are learning with us and want to do try new things and new ways to eat."

Find out why Dana Reed makes REAL food a priority for her family while keeping her grocery bill lower than before! "Start with some common sense things you already know in your heart. Neon or brightly dyed “food“, for example, would be a good start. If it isn’t a color found in nature, it probably shouldn’t be in your child’s food. Start simple, don’t get frustrated and just keep learning and trying."

Find out how Julie Margo keeps her monthly REAL food bill so low. "I have been increasingly aware of the food I give our family. I used to always be interested in food that wasn’t processed, but after watching Food Inc., I realized that I also wanted to
commit to food that was raised ethically too."

Find out how Yeda Arscott uses natural remedies and REAL food to keep her kids healthy. "Try not to be obsessed or be consumed with fear and cynicism regarding all the negative information out there in the world concerning food issues. There is no such thing as a bed of roses, so don’t think you can achieve one in your own proverbial back yard. Keep it simple, local, raw, and fresh (& organic as much as possible). Work with what you’ve got. When making menu and lifestyle choices our parents didn’t have the some tools and knowledge we have today and yet we survived. We will probably make mistakes along the way, but everything is a lesson to be learned. And that’s life."

Lose the all or nothing attitude and just take one day at a time. Reflect on your day before you go to bed at night and instead of getting down on yourself because you weren’t perfect just set goals to accomplish the next day."
